Workforce Agreement
The NUT is part of the Workforce Development Local Partnership (WDLP), a group that meets regularly to monitor the implementation of the Workforce Agreement.
You will recall that the Workforce Agreement covers administrative tasks, limits on cover, PPA time, invigilation, work/life balance, headship time and leadership/management time.
At the WDLP meeting in December it was agreed that an audit of schools will be undertaken, to see if schools are complying with their statutory duties.
The WDLP can take steps to censure non-compliance.
School Unions' Representatives should be involved in responding to the audit/questionnaire, alongside Chairs of Governors and Headteachers.
We want to alert you to this so that the NUT can make its contribution to the audit. It's important that the WDLP gets a rounded view of the situation in schools. If you have concerns about how the Workforce Agreement is being implemented in your school, please contact the Union either directly or via your school NUT Rep.
