September

• Introduce yourself to new colleagues in your school.
• Have newly-qualified teachers received an information pack from the Union? Have those who were student members of the NUT completed their transfer form giving details of their teaching post?

October

• Watch out for student teachers in school on training practice. Invite them to take out free membership of the NUT.

December

• Remind any teachers who are leaving the school to inform Records and Subscriptions Services at Headquarters on 020-7380 4813/14/15.
• Follow up newly-qualified teachers to check they have transferred to in-service membership of the Union.

January

• Watch out for new student teachers on teaching practice.

March

• Reduced subscription schemes for those transferring from other teacher organisations come into operation. Watch out for the details on a leaflet sent to you in your school representatives' mailing.

April

• Watch out for new student teachers in school.
• Remind final year students to transfer to in-service membership by completing the transfer form they were sent over Easter.

June

• Look out for new staff visiting the school.
• Remind anyone who is leaving to inform Records and Subscriptions Services.

July

• Ask your Headteacher/Principal for details of any new teaching staff starting in September.
